Application
For transmission of analogue and digital signals in instrument and control systems; use in zone 1 and zone 2 group II classified areas (IEC 60079 part 14). Not allowed for direct connection to low impedance source, e.g. the public mains electricity supply. Recommended for direct burial, especially in the presence of aggressive chemical substances. For indoor and outdoor installation in dry and wet locations on racks, in conduits.

Conductor: plain annealed copper, sizes: 0.5 mm² solid, 1.0 mm² solid, 0.5 mm² flexible, 0.75 mm² flexible or 1.5 mm² stranded
Insulation: polyethylene PE
Colour code: according to BS 5308 PART 1 (see Appendix)
Wrapping: at least 1 layer of plastic tape
Collective screen: 24 μm aluminium / PETP tape over tinned copper drain wire, 0.5 mm²
Bedding: polyethylene PE, black
Metal sheath: lead alloy
